With the weather starting to get brisker and the leaves are starting to fall, it is the perfect time to make some pumpkin spice scented DIY projects around the house! I enjoy both pumpkin spice scented items and pumpkin spice flavored items, so if you know someone that also loves all things pumpkin spice – this would make a great gift for them!
Sugar scrub is a wonderful natural exfoliate and delightful treat to use during a bath or shower. Make a container for a friend and keep one for yourself for your next home spa day! All of the ingredients for this project can be found on Amazon, or at your local sundry store.
Making the scrub is quick and easy! Here’s how you can make it at home.
Gather your supplies that you will need for the sugar scrub, there is a handy reference sheet at the bottom if you’d like to save that as a reference.
Supplies:
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup solid coconut oil
- ¼ tsp pumpkin pie spice
- 30 drops pumpkin pie fragrance oil
The ingredients are easy to mix up and overall preparation time should take less than 20 minutes! Follow the instructions below to make your own pumpkin spice sugar scrub at home.
Directions:
- Add the sugar and coconut oil to a large bowl, or the bowl of a stand mixer.
- Beat on high for about one minute until a paste-like texture forms.
- Add the pumpkin pie spice and fragrance oil.
- Beat on high for 3-5 minutes, until you have a fluffy whipped mixture.
- Store in an airtight jar or container.
After you make your jars of scrub, you can decorate them with chalkboard tags, fall sprigs, or bows, to make the perfect fall gift for a teacher, friend, or hostess!
