Today I’m sharing some of my winter favorites, that I have been using a TON around the house and for comfortable work clothing to work from home! It’s definitely been an adjustment to our routine having everyone doing work and school from home, but I can say that we’ve found our stride and actually quite like the rhythm we’ve gotten into!
A few items that I’ve come across have made working from home easier, and I shared them in a recent video:
Some of my top picks that I would recommend for moms at home, includes these comfy cardigans that can be dressed up or down! I’ve found that I can wear them with a dressier shirt and they are still “Zoom meeting appropriate” – or you can pair them with a comfy tank and lounge pants – for an evening around the house!

My two favorite prints are the leopard print cardigans in both the gray/white and the camel/tan tones! I’ve always loved a leopard print, so these have been great to have a subtle print while still staying comfortable. The sweaters are soft and priced right too! I’ve seen them go as low as $19.99 on Amazon.com – but average price to see them listed at is in the $30-$35.99 range.
Another great item I recently tried for the first time were shoes by Rothy’s! These are sustainable shoes that are made from recycled plastics, and easily tossed in the washer when they get too dirty. A number of people from my workplace swear by these, so I had to finally try them – and now I know what the hype is about! They are very comfortable right out of the box, and even though the sides are flexible, they do provide a bit of support. I opted for “The Point” style to try first, and if you run at a half size, I recommend going up to the next full size. I sometimes wear an 8.5 to 9 in shoes- and a size 9 in Rothy’s works great for me!

The next style I likely will try will be one of the more rounded toe styles to see if that provides some additional comfort in the toe box area – but overall the shoes are comfortable. When I do have to go into work, I sometimes need to do quite a bit of walking from one side of campus to another to make it to meetings. These shoes worked great to look professional, but not cause any foot mishaps along the way after a full day of getting from one meeting to the next across campus.
I’ve also enjoyed cruising Etsy for some fun finds – and I’ll have a whole video coming up on that soon! One great item that I’ve been loving to do some pre-stocking up for our next Disney trip are these adorable headbands from ThingamaBowsShop! I found these adorable handmade headbands in a Disney group I’m in, and after trying a few Christmas styles – promptly ordered a few “regular” ones to use on our upcoming trip as well!
These are made from DressShop dresses and will coordinate perfectly if you’re planning on wearing them with a Disney Dress Shop dress – however the ones I’m planning on wearing will also work great to mix and match with a variety of Disneybounding outfits as well! As we get closer to our trip date, I will share more of the planning and preparation we are putting into the trip beforehand.
