To enter the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, you’ll need a park ticket to Universal Studios Florida or Islands of Adventure. To see both of the Harry Potter areas in the same day, you’ll want to get the 2 Parks in 1 Day pass, to be able to use the Hogwarts Express train to go back and forth.
Diagon Alley is in Universal Studios theme park and Hogsmeade is in Islands of Adventure. The Hogwarts Express train connects these two lands. As Harry Potter fans, we spent the entire day in exclusively Harry Potter areas and there was enough to keep us entertained all day long.
If you want to experience the Harry Potter rides without waiting in long lines, consider purchasing an Express Pass. Express Passes allow you to skip the regular lines and get to the front of the line faster. They are available for purchase online or at the park.

This allows you to enter the Wizarding World of Harry Potter one hour before the park opens to the general public. This is a great way to experience the rides without the crowds. To take advantage of Early Park Admission, be sure to bring your hotel key card and arrive at the park early.
We stayed at Cabana Bay on our trip and the resort worked out well for our family of four. It was a fun resort stay with a comfortable room and it was great to be close to the theme parks.
